Tifton Georgia Attractions
Within the boundaries of the South Georgia area, travelers can expect to find well-maintained gardens and a picturesque city full of cultural heritage. One of the area's main attractions is the smell and sound monitoring of Big Oak Plantation, the largest man-made plantation in Georgia. Visitors can visit the plantation, see the Spanish moss draped in Crooked River, discover the beautiful downtown houses on a walk or a drive, have their photograph taken with the "Great Oak" and stroll through the historic downtown of Kingsland. This historic park contains the 1870s cottage where Obediah lived and prospered, as well as other historic buildings. The 500-hectare park also houses workers "homes and a pre-Civil War mill.
